COULD YOU VOLUNTEER ?
We are Icebreakers, a bi-weekly support group for gay/bi/trans men, who are either in the process of coming out, or looking to make new friends. We are run by a team of friendly dedicated volunteers, and we are currently recruiting.
What’s expected from a volunteer?
We ask volunteers to attend 2 meetings per month from 7-9pm on a Thursday. We also ask you to attend a monthly meeting, usually on a Monday evening for about 2 hours.
We ask for a commitment of 18 months plus for a volunteer role.
At the Thursday meetings, after training, you’ll have varoius roles on a revolving basis such as reception, interviewing new service users, guiding and listening to the needs of service users, and generally heelping in all aspects of running the group
